This whole of the last week i watched them grow from dust to "everthing" , being painted bright, getting dorned in gold leaf....
tommorow she comes
the goddess-Saraswati...Saraswati Pujo....
just another day for me...routine 10-6
but this week the streets were more colorful ...more bright than everyday...
chalky idols... all sizes of the oddess were lined up to be sold...
people crowded to carry her home...the best one in the cheapest price..bargaining ...
well that would be the begining of the goddesses home welcome.....
yet it shall be festive..
yellow all around ...children.. like once i was...clad in the yellow sari that belonged to my mother:-)..
the mother that cant be bought or sold or be bargained on......
