17.01.2011 After several days of bed rest I went for my x ray and test today morning. inside the x ray room there was this young chap who handles the machines. He adjusted me on the bed first feeling the pelvic bones and the ribs. I had to change into the hospital clothes and lie down on the cold metal bed. The boy adjusted the machines took a few shots of me- fully straight on my back and a few in foetal position he went and checked if the shots had come right. he came back and... x ray boy: apnar ki konodin kono operation hoyechilo? ( did you ever get operated?) me: na( no) his face tells me he doesnt like the answer he checks again and comes back x ray boy: apnar uterus e konodin kono prob hoyechilo ( did you ever have a problem in your uterus?) me: na...thank god.. na..god forbid he goes ....comes back x ray boy: apnar kono din kono pregnancy tey kichu prob hoyechilo?( did you ever have a problem when you were pregnant?) me: ota akhono amar jibone chance payeni ( pregnancy never got a chance) x ray boy: tahole apnar x ray te akta kalo spot asche kyano? ( then why is there a black spot in your x rays) I almost begin to get getting worried x ray boy: apnar inner e kono metal er tukro achey? ( do you have a piece of metal in your inners) I GRINNN a big grin YES i say On a tiny metal bracket stitched onto my panty was written 'lovable' |
